First, educate yourself about the product that you’re marketing as well as who your competitors are. It’s important for the success of your business that you have a simple explanation of why you use the products and why others should. Believing in your products will motivate and make you passionate about telling others about them. Personal testimonies from satisfied customers can have a positive impact on the reputation of your business.
1.
Create a Business Plan
You only get paid when people buy your products and services, so keep track of your prospecting methods that you use each month. When you are writing a business plan, the Marketing and Sales Strategies section should include:
• How you will promote your business
• How you will get your product or service to your customers
• The costs to promote and distribute you products or services
• How you will measure the effectiveness of the methods you plan to use.
2. The 3 C’s
One way to stay focused when writing this section of your small business plan is to remember three C's:
• The customer
• The competition
• The company
Besides, that's what marketing is all about.
3. Customers and Your Business Plan
You'll need to present information about your customers - who they are, what age groups they are likely to comprise, what they like and dislike, where they live, where they shop and what kind of market exists for your product or service.
4. Competition and Your Business Plan
You'll need information about your competition. You'll need to show that despite the competition that already exists in your marketplace there's a place for your small business.
When you are examining your competition, include not just your direct competition, also businesses that are already providing the same product or services your small business will provide.
5. Your Company and Business Plan
After you've looked at your customers and your competitors, how and where does your small business fit in this market? What is your competitive advantage and how will you make the market understand the unique value your small business has to offer? What share of the market do you expect to command, and why?
6. Network Marketing
Network marketing is always evolving so you need to be updated on the latest technology, different ways to marketing your product, much of which can be done without spending a great sum of money. Benefit from your own mistakes as well as mistakes of others.
7. Duplication
Think of your business as duplicating yourself. If everyone in your organization sponsors 2 people per month, the end of the year will equate to a lot people performing the actions of one. Your business should focus on a lot of people doing a little bit and not the other way around. All you have to do is equip the people in your organization with the right tools and the information they need to become successful and everyone benefits.
8. Most Importantly - Don't Quit
Make sure not to make the biggest mistake of them all and quit. With these traits, you will be able to build a successful business. This is the most important characteristics of a successful marketer. Many of the top earners got off to a rocky start. Most of them took 12-36 months to build a six figures yearly income or higher. Almost every company has someone making a lot of money and other people are constantly blaming the company or product for their lack of success.
